So you set your mind to getting self confidence back. Sometimes you work hard, but all you can see is that your resolution to be self-confident is not taking you anywhere.
When this happens, is very likely that you are indulging in one of the 5 self-confidence deadly mistakes. It is important to become aware of these seemingly harmless obstacles that have all the power to stop you in your path.
Let’s assess the possible reasons that you are not moving ahead in top gear.
We have seen that there are many ways to address how to raise self confidence. A lot of this stuff has to do with expanding your comfort zone, and acting with courage. It’s not a case we are dealing with this in our self confidence challenge (subscribe at the bottom).
Of course a lasting self confidence requires deep inner stability. Stability about knowing yourself, knowing who you are.
A recent sociological research focused on the “self-concept clarity” notion. This is the stability over time of clear and confident beliefs about themselves. It’s easy to see that the more self-concept clarity you have, the more robust and resilient self confidence you have.
So, what’s the best way to rise your self-concept clarity?
In your life you are always facing challenges. There are moments where things will go right or wrong. Maybe your first job interview. Asking that girl out. A very important exam. Doing that trip alone. Maybe your throat became dry. Or your knees wanted to shake. Maybe you just wanted to leave everything as it was and alleviate that discomfort. For sure, you would have liked to know how to build unshakable confidence.
You were putting your skills on the line and confronting a risk. If you were successful, there could be great reward. But if you fail? Self-doubt was trying to discourage you.
You know, self confidence is essential in our lives; without it, we will not make the first attempt to do anything new. Without self confidence you can’t learn, so you can’t grow. It allows us to move forward despite temporary discouragement. Build unshakable confidence to move forward despite any discouragement. It’s the essential resource in confronting stressful situations, the difference between fighting or being overwhelmed. If you were unstoppable, what could you do?
Developing self-confidence on a daily basis, one aspect at a time, will help you to improve your overall ability to confront your challenges and unburden gradually your inner obstacles.
So, how to build unshakable confidence? Here are seven actions that will help to boost your personal power. Just exercise one action each day of the week. Then repeat for a few weeks and see how it goes.
On Monday – Envision Confidence
Envisioning confidence begins with making it real in your experience. Imagine how you will feel and act if you already had the confidence you need for a specific situation. See yourself in your mind’s eye, acting with courage and conviction. Hold that picture in your mind, and your vision will start to become real. The more it will be real, the more you’ll build unshakable confidence.
